In May of 2018 I’ll celebrate 50 years on the planet.

I have plenty to be grateful for to be sure.  I just know that I haven’t reached my fullest potential, and at this stage of my life, am yet to find the sweet spot of my talents and my passions.

In a recent coffee chat I was asked what my definition of success was.  My experience in sport and studying the best coaches and leaders across all industries, there’s one definition that resonated as true for me.   Legendary basketball coach reflected on success as follows….

Success is peace of mind, which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you made the effort to do your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming..  (John Wooden)

For me, becoming the best I am capable of becoming means challenging myself to grow and learn, and to walk across that line of comfort.  It means helping others be successful themselves.

Transparency is a scary thing.   I’m confident everyone has their own “stuff” to deal with … so I am hoping offering my journey up might be helpful for others.
